Anyone have the dates for both Wildwood car cruises this year? I'm interested in the spring event, if it doesnt conflict with the Nationals.

Matt,

12th Annual East Coast Boardwalk Nationals
May 6-9, 2004
11th Annual Boardwalk Classic Car Show
September 23-26, 2004

I thought the cars had to be 25 years or older like pre 1979 to enter this event. Matt, is the OC maryland event the same way?
I was intrested in attanding both but was told that our cars are too new, same old story. Please let me know if you have any info on these events............Ed

Correct Ed. Last year was the first year that they did NOT allow our cars in.. Before that they had a seperate lot for modern classics (our cars) Its still a BLAST to go to the shore and watch tho.. trust me. We have been doing it for years:)

Yea but its no fun if I can't enter my car  I know why they changed the year regulations (to keep out the ricers) but did they have to go back as far as 87? I am tired of this your cars too new to enter in the show crap  I gotta a show car that I can't enter in anything but buick shows...............Do you know of any others around here over the course of the year that I can enter Frank? I did the GM Nats at carlisle last year, but it looks like I'll be on vaca that weekend this year not sure yet though.

Thanks for the dates, Frank!!

I have no idea about entering the show. I just go to cruise around the town and hang out, see cars, etc. Not of concern to me, since my car isnt quite a show car. There's every car of every age there crusing town. Just the judged shows that are restricted to certain age cars.

Are youi kiddin me?? There are far mpre shows that we CAN enter the cars in then shows that we can't.. In the summer, there is a show just about every weekend that you can show your GN in .. Even shows that don't allow
newer' cars will allow GN's in.. GN's are very respected by others.. :)

I know Cruisin' the Coast in Southern Mississippi did the 25 year or older thing starting this year, but after reading the rules it also said if a car was rare, unusual or an object of curiosity they would consider it. I sort of think our cars fit that criteria...:D

How about the fact that the Buick Grand National was thee greatest car ever designed, engineered, and produced anywhere in the world, ever, in any era. And that nothing else will ever exceed its superiority in existance. Period.

That sounds more like our criteria if you ask me. :D

Amen

I'm certain that if you actually go DOWN there and show up with your car, you can talk them into letting you enter. I entered my
car last summer into the huge "Antique Automobile Club of America" show up here in Berks County (Macungie Park)and they had a Cut-Off of must be at least 20 years old (not 25) and I convinced the guys to let me enter. Even got a trophy!!

I'd say go for it!!

Never really tried to do that. I always figure that they would just turn me away cause the car was not old enough. I'd hate to drive all the way to Wildwood to get turned away. I guess I can always give it a shot.

Frank - if there any shows you know in the area comming up this season, I have a sticky in the MAGNA thread over at the other site. Please post any info for shows/races/events you know of there. I am always into taking my car to shows but sometimes its boring going by yourself. If you want another GN next to ya, let me know....

Brian - Do you have the info for the Macungie show this year. If not I will see if I can get it, a friend of my dad does antigues and he is there every year with his cars.

Thanks, Ed
