i just have a lot of dirt and grime on top of my intake, and i was wondering if i could just take brake cleaner and spray it off. the only reason that i was concerned about doing this is i didnt know if brake cleaner some how got onto the injectos and got on their o-rings if it would eat them away.. that wouldn't make me a happy camper...

so, is it safe to try?

thanks

It won't hurt anything, I put a rag under the open area to absorb the dirty cleaner and used a tooth brush and brake cleaner and cleaned mine up.

humm, see i was actaully talking about the lower intake, underneth the doghouse... next to the PCV.. down in that area...

thanks

Brake cleaner will not harm any gaskets or o-rings. Just use in a well venilated area. I use it quite a bit to clean parts, its fast and
works good too. :)
