Will I need a re tune with methanol injection ?

My car is tuned for 25#s on 104 octane and is currently detuned to 18#s on pumpgas 93 octane. My question is if I run a meth or alky kit do I need to be retuned for the injection setup? Thanks

should be fine with some tweaks
the meth injection should be setup so it only runs under boost (typical turnon is 6psi) and is progressive
typically on an alky chip theres enough fuel for 18 psi of boost so you will need just adjust the WOT fueling in the chip (reduce it or run more boost)
, typical injection timing is 23/21 the at base of the 104 chip will be fine with methanol so if you turned the timing back you can bring it back ,

I dont see what your using to tune the car. Chip/FAST/BS3, etc.
Yes.. on the retune as it will be working as a 7th injector.
If your on a chip, then a new chip will solve it.

I am using a extender chip with a maf translator plus.

If your current chip has fuel cut-off, it wont be good when that happens on alky.
Highly suggest getting a new chip burned for alky.

You should be able and dial it out. You can confirm by contacting the maker of the chip "TurboBob" here on the site. And giving him specifics on the chip like for what octane it was made. Typically street chips are ok. Race chips.. nope.
