found this stuff at napa today, midland air brake antifreeze. got the msds on it and it is 99.8% methanol with trace lubricant mixed in. will this be ok with sureflo and motor or do i need to keep looking for pure methanol. by the way, in my conversations with some chemical supply people, they have asked about what grade of methanol i need. i really don't know, any answers?

How much $$$$ are they getting per gallon?

See you can run denatured, available through paint stores, tho its a little more expensive. And the main reason I use methanol, is $$$ lot cheaper than denatured.

If its that percentage.. its good to use. Look at my other post methanol sources for insite on places.

i thought the methanol was the better of the two(denatured). the stuff from napa is 10 bucks a gallon. can't find anybody local that will sell methanol in small quanities, haven't got any "converts" to split up a drum around here.

Keep looking.. local race track doesnt handle it? Go-kart track? Sprint cars? Indy cars? Dragsters? these vehicles rely on the stuff..find who works on them.. you'll find a source.

Go to your track and talk with some of the racers that run it. You can tell..the exhuast smell is obvious.

Its hard to find until you've found it.

Get 3-4 guys to split a 55 gallon drum...you'd be set... lucky it wasnt me..i'd keep the drum to myself :D

Its mine..all mine.. buwahahahaha :D

The possabilities ;)

like I keep saying, if you're in the boonies call up a few propane companies, they should have a drum or two lying around, they add a few gallons when they get a batch of new gas in just in case they have a moisture problem, otherwise valves stick when it gets cold out.
