Do any of you winch your car in an enclosed trailer? If so, what is your technique in doing so? Where do you hook it? I have all of the stock air dams on it. Let me know. Thanks!

T/R's suck for this. I hook around the K member and have my son stand on the strap and ride it up the ramp, to keep it below the airdams. Once it gets to the top of the ramp, its not a problem (stock ride height).

I need to make a block of wood that fits up around the bumper support.

Occasionally, at the track I need a tow back to my pit? ;)

After a couple bent air dams I welded a "ring" or actually 1/2 ring, to the center of the front crossmember where useless projection piece the factory weld in place there.

I also use that for a tie down in the trailer.

Here is a picture of the tow hitch piece welded to the cross member:

If your trailer is 102" wide(most are today), drive it in and wind down the window and squeeze out the door. It sure saves on all the stuff hanging down under the front of the car. I drove mine in and out for a couple of years, and it saved a lot of time over a winch. It also helps not to break the car so it does drive!!!, LOL.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Obviously you do not seriously race your car! :)

I drive mine on the trailer most of the time, but...................

I drive mine onto the trailer 98% of the time...I have a tape stripe on the ground I just line up with the outside of the tire... but that other 2% of the time can suck.

Most of my racing was with a 69 camaro, G/SA in div 1 stock eliminator. Ran between 1974 and 2004, then sold the car, getting too old. i would slip the GN in the trailer once and a while and go to epping nh. With a old set of Goodyear radial slicks(9"), dump pipe and some decent gas, the car ran 11:80's, but it was very inconsistent, and I ran into the 12 0 roll bar rule, so I put the car back on the road. The gn went into my Interstate and Goldrush trailers ok, rarely needed the winch, and when I did, I would usually round up a few guys at the track and push the cars into the trailer, just lazy I guess.

i like simple , i bolt the stock engine hook to the frame under the balancer , no drilling and no fab required
