I just got my transmisson back from the tranny shop. I have a 442 Olds its a KZF on the ID tag. Question is that my 2-1 downshifts almost never happen. He says its my governor so I got one from CK performance. Is this true or can it be something else? I had him do everything he could to BULLETPROOF this thing. He had assured me he has done many and the governor is the Culprit. ALSO when I got the governor I expeccted only on spring in it but it came with two should I leave the two in there? I had taken the old one out before and it only had one spring what gives.

some came with it and some without.we sent you an original hurst olds 442 governer.if it wont backshift the tv cable is not adjusted properly or the tv downshift oil circuit is not being charged with oil due to a misbuild or something

the little sring on the primary weight slightly delay modulaed tv upshift oil from acting to delay the shift valves from upshifting until 15 psi is reached.this allows the car to upshift at 0 to minimum throttle without a delay when creeping.its done as soon as you tip on the gas.no spring allows the shift delay function to exert a force to hold the valves backshifted even with 0 tv pressure or just the force applied on the tv valve by the spring behind the plunger.THIS IS ME AGAIN GUYS .THE REAL 2004R TECH.BY THE ****ING MANUAL
