Won't shift from 1st to 2nd normal drive

Hi All,
I need some help on my 87' 200r4 tranny.
I finally finished with some major maintenance work, drove the car and realize I do have some issue to fix. One of them is when I drove the car it shifted normal on all gears at normal driving, and also at WOT. The following day I drove the car again, and now the tranny won't shift into 2nd unless I WOT. I guess was not a good idea since the ScanMaster display 5 knock/detonation. I adjusted the TV cable as per GM recommended before driving the car and as I mention before the tranny shifted all gears beautiful. Anyone has any possible idea of what the problem may be? Thanks

May have slung the gov spring during the night before WOT blast

Loosen the cable a couple of clicks and see if it will shift not several just a few

To turbo nasty; Thanks for the advise, it did shift, but as I was trying to push the tab in to release the TV cable I pull all adjustment forward. I then pull back toward the firewall showing two rings. Dove the car and shift OK, I readjusted TV cable showing four rings, drove the car and shift about the same. I did notice on both times shifting from 1st to 2nd gears there is a little delay before going into 2nd gear. Any ideas?
