Just returned from the body shop, looking into having the GN stripped to steel and starting over as the 4 layers of paint and the shaved door handles are beginning to crack. Shop owner suggested getting a replacement door as the drivers door/fender area has been hit before. I don't need the glass, power lock motor, or even any mechanicals inside the door, just the shell.
Will also need the 1/4 window moldings/surrounds. Whoever I bought the car from had painted all the moldings while on the car
. Not sure you can get the moldings separate from the glass?
I'm not absolutely sure that I will paint the car anytime soon, just trying to figure out a ballpark price for near show quality paint, the body shop still hasn't let me know a price yet. Thanks!
