Hey guys, this is a weird one. Ive got double pumpers-car came this way. I have been suspicious of my primary pump because, lately, the on rail fp gauge reads 0 after shutdown. And now the fp runs anytime the igntion is on. So I check the pass side relay group and pull each one and the fp stays on. And a frightening thing I also find-there is a MAP sensor which is connected by a real weatherpack 3 wire terminal.
WTF Say what?!! Time to run the numbers on car maybe. I disc this MAP and have no diff drivability or SES. So here is 3 weird ones-(1) A fpump that stays on while key is on (didnt use too) (2) a GN with a MAP which is hookes up, (3) a "missing" primary f pump relay.
The car also came with a Viper security system that is fried-could it be hooked in with fpump or do they hook in with the injector power? Out of all this it is that (*^^^& **@ MAP that is really bothering me
Also would a lack of fuel pressure cause boost to drop?
