Xylene Question

Hello everyone.

I have a question about the ratio everyone is using with Xylene?
Is it O2 sensor safe?
I bought two gallons for $11--is this good deal?

i have bought it for 5 bucks a gallon, so thats not bad.....i have seen it up to 10 a gallon....

I dump in one 5 gallon can of xylene, then fill the rest of the tank up with 91 octane. I also add one cap full of Marvel Mystery Oil per gallon of xylene used. Works great in my car. I've found xylene for $6.20 a gallon at Sherwin Williams. This was after getting raped for it at a couple other "wholesalers" that charged up to 9 bucks a gallon. So you definitely paid a fair price.

Try a search on this website for the word Xylene & you may also wanna try Homebrew Race Gas.

Here's the ratio I use:

1 gallon xylene : 3 gallons 93 octane unleaded = 99 octane final mix

I always mix up a 12 gallon batch & add ~2 oz of Marvel Mystery Oil to replace the gasoline's lubricants that get diluted by the xylene.
