    Tax time is upon us. Time to choose converter...

    I have only had experience with the old art carr to get into the tens.Worked fine but had to hit fourth gear with a 26 by 9 inch slick and stock cammed motor.The art carr is light,and increases the throttle response greatly,also takes load off the crank.Jim:)

    83lbs injectors vs 72lbs injectors street/strip

    My buddy runs 83lbs injectors,stock mass,modded ecm, reds 106 chip,runs fine.Drives it 90 miles one way to the track.Cranks out mid 6's at 106 in the eight.No quarter mile et yet.:)

    I need to know if there is a better heli core out there besides the one that you normaly get.I have stripped out the block threads for one of the head bolts.I originaly had the pep boys heli core in there but now it won't hold.Pulling the motor is my last resort,thanks Jim:(

    Track Help - 12.2s Need an 11

    You need more power,unfortunatly you may blow the nittos off around the 100 ft mark when you hit full boost.I have achieved 7 teens in the 1/8 with them when the track and launch were right,1.790 60ft,the car is a 10.90s car though.:) Jim

    Problems with both PT/TA 51's and 52's?

    I have about 2 k street miles,fourty 1/8 mile passes,four 1/4 mile passes,at 24 lbs boost and the pt 52 is still intact.Car runs 7.0s in the 1/8,and ran 10.98 in the qt.Jim:)

    The problem is that there is not much meat on the rod journals.Many have done it,probably be fine for 500 engine hp.:)

    Yes a bad selnoid can cause this.Bad ecm also,best way to check is to disconnect the hose from the actuater and test.Be very carefull, the boost may run wild!If it does start to lift! It is one of the two for mentioned.Jim:)

    This can be done with the motor in the car.You can buy the heli core kit from any parts store,just duct tape the cylinders so you don't get any fragments from tapping in there.Why were you backing off the head bolt after tightening?

    Way to much turbo and not enough injector for the turbo.Requires 4000 stall convertor.:eek:
