As the founder of LesabreT.com, I apologize for any part our forums played in this incident. Fortunately most of Steve's postings were not so offensive(at least on our site), the post that was has been deleted. SteveX has been deleted from LesabreT.com at his request. -T

    3800SC with grand national turbo

It sure can, see the post below. You will obviously need it reprogramed, but DHP should be able to take care of it. -T

    Fwd convert to RWD

I've contemplated the same converison before, only with a skyhawk. Yes a modified or maybe even stock 3.8 motor mount should work, the mounting flanges and holes are there.

Can a 92 231 be converted to a turbo without grenading?

There is alot of differences between the 4T60E and the 4T65E-HD(SC cars). The 4T65E-HD has a much beefier differential and other parts. The 4T65E(non-HD used on non-SC cars), has the same differential as the 4T60E, but does have the same clutches and related parts as the 4T65E-HD. Ask someone...

    Odd question.

Nothing will interchange. You could try a L67 swap, or an LC2 swap. Both would require alot of custom work, but less than trying to make a hybrid.

Can a 92 231 be converted to a turbo without grenading?

The older 3800s are not stronger than the LC2, but the Series II is. The 4T60E is also, not up to alot of power, unless beefed up. If you seriously want more power, consider upgrading to the Supercharged engine, available in PA, Bonnivilles, and the LSS. Or a L67/4T65E-HD swap. :D

    Buick Technology

Hi, haven't posted here in a while, here's my 2cents: DIS was state of the art, Chevy had distributors in the trucks until 99, Dodge had them until last year. Most Japanese cars used distributors well into the 90s. Honda still had carborators in the 80s and throttle body injection in 92...

What kind of noise is it. I've heard the couplers go bad. ZZPerformance.com sells replacement ones.

    1999 gtp wiring/won't stay running

Sounds like a PASS-Key issue. It reads the chip in the key and if it doesn't match it shuts off the engine just as you describe. -T

    Engine weights

The 3800 series II block can handle alot more than the 2.8/3.1/3.4. You can use an older non-electronic tranny or manual, by simply fooling it intothinking it's in Drive all the time(very easy). The older 2.8 700r4 will work, as will the newer 3.8 4L60e(from a Camaro), but I'm not sure how...

    96 Riviera intake gaskets leaking!

Do not motor oil in the supercharger. This can cause damage as it will not lubricate the snout properly. Buy the stuff at the dealer, it's only about $8. Currently there is no aftermarket alternative. Some people have used motor oil and had the bearings go out in a very short time.

GS motor in a rear drive El Camino?

Well I don't think it's been done alot. I've looked into doing this a bit. It'll be alot of custom work. You'll need all the accessories from the donor car and all the engine wiring. A V6 camaro tranny will work, as will an older 2.8 S10 700R4. You'll probably have to modify the flex plate.

    Transmission shifting

A shift kit should give you what your looking for. INTENSE has a new one that's supposed to be easier on the tranny than other kits. www.intense-racing.com

    Just bought a 2000 GSE...QUESTIONS!

Lots of mods and more to come. A nice and easy 3.4" pulley will get you 20-30hp. Here's some links to mods: www.intense-racing.com www.zzperformance.com www.3800performance.com www.grandprixstore.com Make sure to check your SC oil level. It's available at the dealer, and usually...
