Anyone recognize this old L.A. Dodger player? He was 6'8" tall. Got this picture of him when I was in high school.

They are black, too! Notice the shape of the body on the water snake and the shape of the body on the cotton mouth then look at the picture you took........

Charlie I would protect my dog too but that looks more like a water snake in the genus Nerodia. A cottonmouth has a much shorter tail and its body is much thicker. water snake
