I'm not sure if you can help me or not, I'm assuming you have lots of
misc parts. For the center console of a 87 WE4(all grey) the plastic
down the sides near the RH side of the shifter is broken. Do you have
any consoles? or possibly that piece of plastic??

I'm with Dave. Because of the high content of metal in todays pads they are coated pretty heavily with a film to prevent rusting. This will at times prevent the pads from setting in initially and sometimes you need to make some "aggressive" stops to burn it off. Sounds like you have already...

Is this thing cursed or something? I'm looking around at different combos and the 45 seems to fit lots of combos, but this thing has been through 3 people and only the original owner even bolted it on?

The shaft is not supposed to be collapsed like that, Does it have signs that it's been dropped? The reason it's like that is they usually inject plastic in that slip joint and the only reason it's there is so that in case of a front end collision the column will collapse instead of drive...
