1-2 Shift is weak

Need a little help here....

I changed the trans fluid and filter on my 87 GN and now the 1-2 shift is very weak. The car would grab second real nice and chirp the tires before the fluid change. Is there something I may have done during the fluid/filter change to cause this to happen or is this the case of changing fluid caused the 1-2 band to start slipping.

Any help or advice is welcome. TIA.

Not enough fluid or you didn't push the filter in enough. Put in a 700 filter, they suck from the bottom.

or you lost the seal on hte filter and didnt put in a new one. There will either be an oring on hte filter neck or a wide orange seal. If there is no seal there trans wont last at all.
