1-2 shift very slow

I need some help. I have a new transmission that is now giving a big delay in the 1-2 shift at WOT. At partial throttle it shifts firm and and quick. When full out it has a good 2 second transition from first to second. It feels like it slides into second slowly instead of banging in fast. Any ideas what could be going on? Please help.

If you have stock stuff (tranny, pan, filter), then try overfilling your tranny a bit and see if that helps...Sometimes the filter will come uncovered when you launch the car.

If it doesn't help then you are probably on your way to a rebuild.

As always you should check your tv cable to make sure it's adjusted right.

I would get some pressure gauges on that thing fast! If it's a new trans, ans just started doing it, you may have had some crud in the valve body. This could cause sticking boost valve, upshift valve. You'll toast the band if you don't get this thing fixed. Stay out of it until you could get pressure readings.

The trans is new as is the torque converter. I guess I will get it into a shop and have things checked out. Thanks for the help.
