If you put half the money that 120K car cost into a TR, just how fast do you think a TR would go? low 10's, mid 9's, high 8's? 60K is a lot of money, I see you can BUY a built 9 second car in the FOR SALE section for way under 30K!

It also draws just as many STARES as a ZR1!!!!!!

Somebody always chimes in with a "if you put that much money in a buick it would rock" or "i could buy x number of gn's and have one for every day of the month" comment.

The point is that it is impressive that a car can run like that STOCK.

If i was driving all 26 passes would be in the 10's:tongue:

with a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty to boot!

And go around corners and stop.:D

and drive it ANYWHERE with the a/c on getting about 27mpg. yea I can see why a TR is better.

10.74 at 133 in a STOCK car...And the dude wasn't even powershifting.
Amazing.

WITH stock air filter, AND TIRES. Imagine if you threw an AFE filter in there, with mickey thompson drag slicks, and power shifted.... I bet with that, and an aggresive tune on race gas, you could bust a ten even... that's freakin stupid...
I bet the lambo/ferrari/bugatti guys are feeling dumb...

I'd LOVE to have one of those things. Even though I'm a N/A, aluminum 427 kinda guy (ls7 motor), I'd just love to have a new zr1. What a modern miracle of U.S. engineering. What a hoot that would be, to take it on an autobahn in germany, and just DESTROY the foreign rides. I'd race for money, and retire over there.

I dunno man, I think the C6 body is one of the best looking cars GM has ever released, and definately the best looking since right around 1987 (). And yes, while that kind of money could make a stupid fast turbo Regal in a straight line, would said Regal be able to also match it around places like Laguna Seca or the Nuremburgring?

no not even close. very few cars are in the same league when it comes to handling. the acr viper is one of the best handling cars around and the zr1 is on its tail and the acr is pretty much a track specific car.

That is quick. 133 mph on pump gas. My lowly 2001 Z06 only traps 114-115 on 93. I have to put in a race chip and race gas for my Buick to run 10's, and it can't stop or turn like even a 12 second C5 can.

Very hard to believe it's bone stock with stock tires and went that fast. At least for me it is. Still an impressive car.

On it's tail? I'm very sure it beat it.

Dam. I canNOT for the life of me, find where I read that the corvette beat the viper. And I don't remember if it was the ACR viper. It may have been the older viper... I can't find **** now. Of course.
