Old thread, but figured I'd give an update. About a month after this race he took the car to Orlando. His third pass ran a 9.60 at almost 150. The car has a lot more in it if he could launch it harder. No cage so he takes it easy outa the hole. I haven't seen him since last year, but I'm curious to see what ET he's running now. If I remember correctly, he was going to turn it up to 28 psi. That car hauls the mail for sure!

Nope, a mod motor. Around 325CID I think.

Might have been a 5.4. I have seen a few of them with turbo set-ups in stangs. Cheap to come by and if you know what to do they are actually good engines to build. Just in stock form they suck as much as changing spark plugs on them.
