I bought a trans a little time ago and was told it was rebuilt and ran low ten with a good bit of work done to it. Well i put it in the shop because it would not shift when i got it.

The shop that has it pulled it apart and told me there was no way it was a 10 sec trans , it has all stock parts in it, nothing after market but the trans brake.

this is my question, what will a stock trans hold up to, he said he can put it back together stock and fix it up some or rebuild it with kevlar belts and redline chutches and a better then stock servo, hows this sound . or will stock hold to my 11-12 sec car

Ahhhh....

Let me have a crack at it. Crazygn, you have my sympathys. Another case of it is not needed. :( Man bummer, but I can tell you if I or Vince or Eric , or Joey does it , you will get EVERYTHING you pay for a make new friends at the same time. The down side is it does cost some money to do correctly. If I can help ya out , let me know. Bummer man.....:(:(

before you bend over on it anymore give me a ring for real.

call me sometime in the eve 757-570-4403

A stock trans might could do a 10 sec. run but I'd bet it couldn't do many!  :( If you want it last you'll need some mods. ;)

the guy that has it has done some of the buicks and the fast lsi and lt1's. He said that he fells my pain and he could put it back together with those parts for 600.00 and if it has any problems breing it back and it will be fixed. Or he will put it back together as is . So ether way i will be paying him something now.

Also one of the bands were lose and a little burnt. and missing some bearings or something.

And it cost alot more when it is done incorrectly. After about 7 transmissions over the years I finally found a guy who can do it right. A dependable transmission is a beautiful thing...

heheheheh

May I let the cat out of the bag........???????
