Has anyone switched over to 11 in. rear brake? If so, what about the location of the wheel cyl? What is involved?

man your up late...:D

since im going to need bolt in axles i've been thinking this idea myself ...anyone done it yet????

I raised this question on "the list" months ago, but never got a good answer. Seems to me it would hold boost on the line, without going to softer linings, or bigger wheel cylinders. I thought that the 11 inch brakes were used on wagons, with the same rear axle as the turbo cars, but never got anyone to confirm or deny my thought.

For you guys willing to cut flanges, I would go with the bolt in style axle conversion that Mark Williams sells.
It utiilizes a GM bolt pattern with the Ford 9" axle bearing that presses on to the shaft (No more leaky c clip eliminators!). You use early style GM drum brakes.
They are available in either the small bolt pattern or the big bolt pattern (both are 65-81 style 4 bolt flanges)
That is the way I would convert. Check out Mark Williams website.
