Ok I went to the local PepBoys today and picked up bearings for my project,,I told themn I need the bearings for the 1LE rotors,,was this correct or should I have gotton them for the B-Body spindle,,the bearings they gave me are from SKF and the outter bearing is BR3 and the inner bearing is BR6,,should the innner bearing fit all the way onto the spindle or stop about 1/2" brfore the rear face of the spindle,,mine seems to stop before the rear face,,Do I have the wrong # bearings ,,I have searched and found I need A3 and A6 from Federal mougle,,are these the same bearings as mine...

big brake bearings

I don't recall the brand name the bearings I used, but the #'s were set3 and set6. Sounds like you're using the equivalent pieces. I wouldn't expect the inner bearing to reach the inner end of the spindle, so the fit of the inner bearing sounds good.
Can't wait to try out the big brakes! Really looking forward to this upgrade.:D

I dont recall the part numbers, but I think I ordered them for the BBody spindle and used the 1LE rotors and have no problems. I would think they'd be the same.

Thanks guys ,I think I have the correct bearings ,I just though the inner bearing should push all the way to the end of the spindle,I told them I needed bearing for the 90 Camaro with HD brakes ..
Thanks
Dennis

I would think so.

Be careful in what bearings you get. The plastic caged bearings are s#!t. Get the steel caged bearings only.

FWIW, it is kinda hard to get the inner bearing on. Don't assemble them dry. Use a good coating of grease (on the inner bearing race and spindle pinion/shaft) to get through the semi-tolerance fit designed into the two parts.
