Im kind of new to the turbo buick thing but am wanting to build a killer street car something that will trap around 130-140 on pump gas if possible. My question is what will it take such as motor, turbo, intercooler, heads, cam, fual system, and bolt ons would it take to make this as street friendly as possible while still trapping in this range on pump gas. I wouldnt object to also using a small shot of nitrous or something else to help like alky. Pretty much what i want to know is is this even possible and if so what would be the most street friendly setup for this.

You are going to need a big turbo, alky inj, ATR Pit Bull Ex., Cold Air intake, New chip, On and On and On
lol

You can do it, just don't build a buick v6. You will need a large cubic inch small block chevy ,alum heads , 90-100MM turbo, custom headers , tintercooler ............and about 50K to finish it all off

Geno lives in my neck of the woods and we all love to watch what he has done with his car closely and learn. That car is no joke, Truely a street car. He drives it all the time and cruises in to Burgermaster on Sat. nights. the car is a 9 sec. monster on C16 and I believe he will be the first to run 9's on pump gas and alky. It may not be that far from now!

if i cant do it with a turbo buick im gonna go with an ls1 like i had planned. forged 402 cu inch iron block and huge turbo

both will be pricey, but i think the Ls1 may be a little bit easier (if you can call going 140 in any car on pump gas easy)

Try a TTA

The 89 Turbo Trans Am's from this board are running high 10's and 120+ in the quarter. Look here to see their times and builds. :)

Less money than an LS1 build I'd think.

stg 2 combo's can do it but get your wallet ready

ls motors will do it easier ( boosted of course )

i never said without alky im willing to use alky and or nitrous but being a street car mostly why bother putting in race fuel for the track when your not running it like that on the street.

It gonna take tons of this $$$

And I do not see the point of running pump gas that far. No one really cares if you are running pump gas or not, its all about the speed and if you win or lose.
Saving a few bucks on gas to get low 10's or 9's sounds silly when you blow everything from a few degrees of knock on the high end because you did not run a few gallons of $5 110oct gas ( $4 around here :D ). Alky is a must on any street car nowadays.

I have gone 9.30 @ 144 on a 109 block on race gas, I'm sure I could trap 130 on pump gas w/o alchy, but why?

For the same reason you have gone 9.30 @144 on a 109 block, to prove a point! :D ;)

If i was worried about the price of gas and race gas I wouldnt be on her or into anything that goes fast. What im trying to do is make a street car that will trap 130mph and since its a street car i want to be able to just pull up to the pump and dump some 93 in. This car would have alky but it seems like no one see's this as being possible to do. I think I might go the LS1 route with a forged 348 and a large turbo set up. Many people have already trapped into the 140's on pump gas with stock cube turbo ls1 cars.

140 on pump gas.....no problem

Really, the LS1 is a great way to go with lots of parts support.
