1330/1350 joint...

I know there's a swap joint (Spicer 5-648X) that fits, but is there a simpler way? Are the trunnion pins on the joints the same OD? Looking to see if I can put 1350 caps & needles on a 1330 cross...

I believe the 1350 is a bigger diameter

Yup, just thinking out loud... If the cross pins are the same (Google won't tell me), I could swap on the 1350 caps instead of buying a $45 swap joint. Or just bite the bullet and swap my axle yoke for a 1350 for $65. It's a Ford 9" with solid spacer so no problem doing that.

just went through that... swapped out the stock 1330 tall 28spline yoke on a moser 9" for a billet 1350 tall 28spline yoke from quick performance

on my 86 i was able to swap off the 1330cups and put on the larger cups to bolt up to the stock 8.5 3R yoke , the 1350 and 3R have same cup size and width but use different retainers , not a problem on a pinion yoke with outside tabs
