times have changed for the good...
people feel better about the economy... so spending cash is easier now...
I have had several people seek my help to find GNX's... the prices are high right now compared to 1.5 years ago...
also, eBay drives up prices, IF YOU want a car/parts do not wait until the item makes it to eBay, you will pay more, unless you know it is a steal and you can use "BUY IT NOW"
I was looking at windshield washer and coolant tank + caps... saw on kirban parts were temporarily discontinued... BUY IT NOW had everything I was seeking.... money was gone in an instant....
PS went shopping at Kirban Performance and spent $443 on new parts for my GN, hope to get them and install before GS Nationals.. related to story below...
Also, had a friend seeking help to find 79 TA 10th Edition (7500 Totla built), found lots of automatics 53xx, made and only 1,817 4 speed standard tranny's were made... He picked up 79 TA with 22k original miles for $22,000 + paid me $1,000 finder fee, $950 transport fee from arkansas to wisconsin and then $150 for detailing, plus $500 more to fix odds and ends wrong with it...
In the next 3 days he was offered between $24 - $26k for it!
He (79 TA new owner) graduated HS in 1980, so he was looking for something that he had when he was in HS... he did not want to buy new vette and lose $10k driving off lot and be like everybody else.... How many new vettes do you see driving around vs 79 10th Editions driving around.... He also has 2 caddy's sitting in the garage... I think I am going to start selling real estate.... there's gotta be money in it, with the way I see all the realtors living today and driving expensive cars... when you have $100k just in vehicles and another $500K+ in the house.
I would think there are more GN's crushed and out of existence then what most people think are for GNX's in the same way.
Can you believe people bought a GNX just to park in garage... One example, guy built his house after purchasing GNX, GNX sits in the house and NEVER DRIVEN!!! There are lots of GNX's like this... they were bought as an investment and will never be driven... Look at 50k GNX selling for over $40k, wow, that is shocker to me...
