I have a question about the 1987 GN. Were they optioned with manual windows? Were they optioned with the hood ornamant? Or are these signs of a clone?

Looks good, possible clone. Got any interior pics? Should say Grand National on the dash too. Definately get rid of the hood ornament IMO.

TURBO sticker on the header is odd too. 2 chrome and 2 black headlight rings. Could have hit something; and fixed it with what they had.

I have heard of GN's coming with a hood ornament; but there probably weren't many.

i've seen a few hood ornaments like that. says "collectors edition" i think. i've only seen those on non-turbo buick 4 doors, i don't recall which exact model. i've never seen a hood ornament on a gn, never.

Is the RPO label still intact? That will tell you for sure if it is a legit GN. My gut reaction is the ornament and extra header emblem were added by a former owner.

What does that dash plaque say on the passenger side of the dash? I see "Buick" but what does it say under that?

The only GN I know of that came with a hood ornament is the 82. That round one is the tri sheild (sp) Buick marker and it's not stock. The color of the dash doesn't look right to me but it may be the pics.

I wasn’t sure if the hood ornament was round; or if it was just glare in the picture

Make sure the VIN on the trunk sticker matches the VIN on the dash; and check the other stickers to see if they all match a GN.

I would think the car took a front end hit and they replaced the header with a limited or other regal header....

the 87 regal limiteds came T-type, but no limited GNs... but i'm sure everyone has heard of the handful of oddballs that came out of the factory (whether they're real or not is another thing.)

just tell everyone its the twin turbo v8 FBI edition... someone will probably tell you their dad had one a long time ago lol

someday, you could potentially see a regal limited with the landau top an a T-type badge!

Why is there a Turbo emblem on the right side of the header panel that should not be there i second it being a T-type or Regal header panel

There is a label in the trunk (RPO Label) it will display all of the options the car came with. If the code "WE2" is on that label it is a Grand National. Just check to make sure the VIN on the RPO label matches the one on the dash.

It probably got hit in the nose and got fixed with the wrong header panel.

I see a Powermaster brake unit under the hood also.

NOBODY is 'gonna go to that much trouble to swap that thing into a car to clone a GN. ;)

I think it's real.
