Oooh, I don't know about that paint peeling away under the passenger door. Figure that you'll have to put another 5K just in a paint job alone to get it back looking good. Plus those genuine 87 GN grills aren't cheap anymore. I don't think I'd give much more than 16K for that car. It might have only 5K mileage but all those flaws you're picking out should make you stay away from that one unless he does come way down.

Turbo1dr, you're a funny guy. ;)

Yeah, he's right, stay away from that one! (Where did you say it was again??)

...can i be first in line to buy it if you dont?...ill pay you a finders fee if it goes through...msg if your passing on it ...thanks...noah.

Thank you for all the advice. After hearing it would take 5k to fix the paint i went to the guy and told him i would give him 15k he said he needs 18 so i told him i will let him know tomorrow. So with the paint issue and all is 18k a reasonable compromise.

It wouldn't take 5k to fix the paint, they are pulling your leg.
I pick up a 13k car for a friend with orginal tires for close to that price

Ask him to let you get an estimate of what it's going to take to get it back in tip-top condition. He may even let you have it for less than 18K. Its worth a shot!:D

EDIT:
Judging by those photo's it looks like the headlight covers has made the head light bezels sag in the middle. I'd want him to replace those before I bought it.

Well i am gonna pass on this one i guess i will look around and see if i can find a cleaner one.Turbo1dr thanks for all the help tnaks everyone the search continues. If anyone is interested in this pm me and i will give you the number

Well if you were looking for a garage queen, what was one of them. If you are looking for something to drive around and beat on keep looking.

So you guys do not feel it is worth the money? Well i guess i will keep looking

That passenger rocker panel can be fixed without painting the entire car. :D

Done right it's probably a $300-500 job. May notice it a very minute amount but I doubt it, black is hard to shoot but not hard to blend. ;)

To give you a scope of things, I just spent $15,000 restoring mine, and you can never get those miles back, it's a great deal. These cars haven't peaked, they are still climbing. Just 5 years ago I still had to explain what they were all the time, they are really still just a glitch in the radar, but their infamy is growing.

Junior go buy that car and enjoy it, you won't find a lower mileage car for less and it appears to be in great shape......my .02

I don't think you will find a better car for $18k. That is a great price! Plus you don't have to drive a long distance and trailer it home! I just bought a low mile GN (25,000 miles) and still must replace the original tires. I also replaced the accumulator, changed the oil with Royal Purple and a Wix filter, removed the original spark plug wires and plugs, changed the antifreeze, serpentine belt and transmission fluid. I had to fly out and rent a U-haul and trailer to get the car home. It was a pretty expensive ordeal in the end. Every used car needs a little something to get it just right.

Damn,

I'd give the guy 18,000....have the rocker painted and buy a new grill, change that ugly energizer battery and take the headlight covers off. So, for about 19,000 you will have a car worth 30,000!!!!!!!

This is an awesome deal for $18,000. Just carfax and verify that it is a 5,000 mile car.

I dont see a close up of the grille but if it's only a nick, I am sure you can live with it or repair it. From the pic, the grille looks mint.

That lower rocker panel should not cost much to repair. The paint wont have to blended with the door because the lower panels had some type of protection strip on the bottom. I would only guess between a few hundred dollars - no more than $1,000. and that's pushing it.

If the car runs mint, the mileage is authentic and these are the only 2 defects, the car is defintely worth alot more than $18,000. You have to ask yourself if you really want this car. If you dont, there are many people on this thread that will buy it in a heartbeat.

Good luck
Frank
