There are plenty of cars for sale in the cars for sale section.

There are probably some even for sale locally. what is your budget.. do you want a finished car? or a rebuilder?

thanks for the reply man, well my budget is 3000 so I'm lookin for a project with a motor and trans. I've looked in the cars for sale section but they are all far away

That's going to be really hard to find unless the body and drivetrain are totally totally shot. $3000 generally might get you a chassis that needs work. Drivetrains I've seen for $1500-2000 or so with unknown condition.

You really get what you pay for. Probably better, especially if you're new, to save your pennies.

The economy does suck and there are deals out there, but try to be really aware of what you're getting in that price range.
