2-3 shift

Hey -- I've had my 87GN for a couple of weeks now.. had an 86 for 8 years before that.. been away from TRs for 2 years. Okay.. the 1-2 shift is strong as hell.. barks second no prob under WOT -- 2-3 is fine while driving normally.. sloppy under WOT. Definitely slipping. Is this DEFINITELY a rebuild time deal? Or can it be loose bands.. or something else simple?

KL is there a place in CT where you would recommend getting my transmission looked at, i'm having similar 2-3 shift problems in my 87 GN.
