2 part stall?

right now i got the large 3500-3800 stall non lock up, (got with the car), to my knowledge its a stock tranny, is there any other besides a vigalante(1000 bucks i dont have now) good lock up converter(maybe 500 dollar range), and will the stocker hold up if i lock it up in second gear at the track

i dont think your gonna find a good quality lockup converter with that kind of stall for 500 bucks. my pro torque cost around 8 or 900 if i remember correctly. as far as locking up the converter at the track, i guess it all depends on how much you run the car on weather it will hold up or not.that does put a beating on it.
