I was just messing around in my class with Mitchell On Demand 5, and i looked up a transmission job and for some reason the 2004R has a labor time of 0.8 for a converter lockup solenoid. The 200C has a 5 hour labor time!!! I was just wondering is anyone knew why?

The 200 4R has a solenoid that is able to be changed mainly by pulling the pan off. The 200C 3 speed is impossible to do without pulling the trans, r&r the pump and change it. The 200C also has a feed wire that travels the length of the trans and must be routed to avoid contact with moving internal parts. A real pain to do compared to the 200 4R. Make very sure that is the problem before you replace the solenoid on a 200C as they do take a lot of time to do right. Also, Bruce told me it is extremely unusual for one to fail on a 200C, although with the age it may well be what you are facing.
