Black on black. 5 miles. I work at the dealership. Not trying to be un-Buickish posting this here. This will defintely sell to soomebody...Just thought somebody here might like one...they are hard to buy from what I've heard. Alot were pre-sold when they announced production. I'm in a small town and nobody has stepped up to the pump yet. We got it 2 days ago.

BTW...this is the best looking American made production car under $50k since 1987... I wish I had the $$$

Hmmnn..

I have heard of dealerships asking $61,000 for theirs. :o

Let's see, the economy is in the $hitter, gas is going to the moon, and folks are losing jobs to the overseas mkts.
"Let's see how far we can jack the price on this POS", mentality comes into play.

Ill take one for a week then ya can have it back.. cool car but nothing I NEED

Come on down!!...only for you though!!

Yeah right...I need another car as bad as I need the two money pits I have already.

But...everybody aint as broke as I am..

I may think about the base in a year or two, I actually think the lowest model looks the most retro. Turbo 6 Challenger sounds appealing. :D

I'm holding out for a 6 speed '09.

The '08's don't even have positraction.

There are smart people and then there are the ones that have to be first.

I'd rather have a Pontiac G8 and put a twin turbo setup on it. I'd still have 15k left over and over 500hp under my foot...

Whoa, one dealer is selling it for $61k and another shows a sticker of $40k??

That's what wrong with the economy, there are always those who'll see what they can get away with concerning greed.

Cool car and worth $40-45k IMO, not a $60k car, sorry Mopar guys.

Agreed...That car looks mean, and sexy at the same time.

Wish I had the $$$ too.

It was a $61k car to somebody...

Where did you get they don't have posi?

Yeee Haaaa!

I saw two in Atlanta today. One is orange and the other across town is black. Bo Duke...John Schnieder tried to buy the orange one today but it sold before he got there. Coincidentally there was a 69 charger, General Lee clone getting some work done in the shop and JS signed the car when the customer was away. No one at the dealership knew that JS was going to pop in. The customer that owned the 69 was thrilled to get his car signed. Kind of a neat story. The mark-up is 10g on the new challengers over here.

If I had a Charger and John Schneider signed it without my permission or me being there I would be pissed............

...........pissed that I didn't get to meet him, he seems like a cool guy.

Check the sticker.

The magazine road tests I've read of production '08 SRT8's Challengers mention a lack of positraction.

Maybe your dealership car has one, but the Road and Track Road Test Article said "An added bonus for waiting for the '09 model will be a standard limited-slip differential not offered on the first models."

It wouldn't be the first time a magazine was wrong about something....

It has posi...I checked the build sheet. And they both spin... We had it in the shop yesterday and it was raining down here. The floor was wet and they both turned when I checked it.

You got me thinkin though...I had to go check. I didn't think they made any peg-legs...maybe so...

This car seems like its just waiting on a head/cam/conv package. That engine is so strong, but it seems like our GNs did back in the day....you KNOW there is more under there...you just gotta find it!!...

We had a used SRT8 Charger that I took to the track. 13.28 on a 2..0x 60'. This car will do better than that I believe...hell...it's lighter ,2 doors. It will be interesting to see what parts become available. Dodge hasn't has a serious bid in the affordable performance world forever. Maybe some of the MOPAR perf guys will step up with some cool stuff. There is a market with the Charger but dammit...they put 2 too many doors on the Charger.

Best case scenario...the Big Three get into a horsepower war with the under $50k cars like they have been with the Viper/Corvette/FordGT...unless some tree huggin' faggot in Washington decides that gas hogs should die...but I digress...where was I?
