That would be an easy swap if you have an original type Q-jet w/
curved throttle lever and a TH350 w/6" tailhousing. Move the crossmember to the rear a few inches, bend the coolant lines slightly, make a TV bracket and mount it in the proper place. The shift cable bracket bolted to the transmission pan area will have to be changed to one for a 200-4r because the bolt spacing is different-order one for a 1986-87 Monte Carlo. The TV cable for that car should be long enough, too. It is GM # 25507546 for a carbed 305. You could also use a GM# 14077903 TV/ Throttle cable bracket, but you would have to modify the bottom where it bolts to the 403's manifold as this part # is for a Monte's 305.
