Some background info. Just got done installing my 406 SBC and my GN 200r4 tranny into my cutlass. I bought the tranny online off of ebay(not going to do that one again). I installed bowtie overdrives tv made easy kit and their lockup converter kit. I pulled the pan off the tranny to install the lockup kit and changed the spring that the tv kit had. The tranny was rebuilt and the vb was a br3. I did notice when I pulled the original spring out it was not as long as the one from the tv kit. I went ahead and followed the instructions and used the longer spring that came with the tv kit.

I hooked up the vac gauge to the tranny and started the motor. I have yet to actually install the lock-up kit from the connector on the tranny to the inside of the car.

When the car started I had 50 lbs of pressure at idle in park and about 80 lbs in any gear I put it in. When I do pull on the tv cable, the pressure will go up to around 100 in park. I know from reading the forums that there is something wrong.

I then backed the car out of the garage to make sure my new quicksilver shifter was working correctly. I went to pull the car back in the garage and when I put the shifter in low (1st) manually, it feels like I have the emergency brakes on.. When I get the car to move then let off the gas, it then comes to a complete stop like Im hitting the brakes. If I put the shifter in drive or OD, the problem stops..

Wonder if anyone here could give some advice to what could be causing the low pressure and the manual low braking problem. I wanted to post here so if it is something that is easy to target, I could do it before I take it to a shop to look at.

Thanks in Advance,
Kyle
