What is a good price for a rebuild of a 200r4 will prob handle like 450horses or so and "feel like someone is sitting in the back seat w/ a bat when you shift"?

I paid $1100 for the basic performance rebuild but added another $600 for a BILLET forward drum since it's a vital piece of the tranny that is known to crack on 11 second cars or even 14 second stockers...add another $250 for a billet input shaft which may break too on 11 second cars or faster...

Vince Janis did my tranny which he is located in Akron, Ohio if you are willing to ship your tranny somewhere...he did an AWESOME job on my tranny

Go with Vince Janis. I had alot more done to mine. My tranny was built for a 9.80 car but i will never see that. I hope to have some 10 seconds passes with a good tune.

Sounds like a good deal, but with shipping on a trans(I'm sure its a punch in the stomach!) I would like to find someone closer to the Panhandle...Amarillo preferably, Dallas, Lubbock, etc...possibly...
Boost Performance here in Amarillo said he would do a rebuild for $1500...strong enough to handle atleast his 11 sec combos, I guess I need to learn the specifics of what he installs though...
