200r4 shifting issues

Under hard acceleration it will not shift. It shifts in and out of 2nd gear like it is trying to shift but cant make up its mind that it wants to. The TV cable can be adjusted but makes no difference under WOT just under "normal" driving.Shifts GOOD at part throttle but at WOT it will not shift without searching for the gear first, then shifts softer than when at part throttle
it shifts fine at wot 2-3gear and 3-od just the 1-2 is acting up, any ideas?

I've seen this comment made several times but I don't know what's involved with doing it? I too have a very sluggish 1-2 shift. How do you install the pressure guage to check the line pressure?

Drivers side of case, above the shifter linkage and slightly forward, there is a 1/8" pipe plug.
Remove it and install a 0-300 psi gauge. I usually use a 90* fitting.
Fire it up and check pressures at idle min TV and max TV in each gear, and at 1500 rpm.
