Lol, Thanks, the sticker was $46k to be exact. The F150 ecoboost was an impulse buy BUT I had been kickin it around for awhile now. I was out test driving new Duramax's earlier this spring and they were $60k by the time I was done out fitting them and I just can't justify the $$ for a truck.

I was driving a 09 G8GT during the summer and my 02 GMC Duramax CC dually in the winter. I sold the G8 last week and decided to buy one vehicle to drive all year. I am going to sell the D-max next. The ecoboost caught my eye due to towing capacity (11.3k) and MPG's and doesn't ride like a 1 ton dually! Not to mention I have a thing for twin turbo V6's:cool:

anyone who spends $60k on a truck is either incredible stupid or very well off. based on the amount of debt most people are in id say its not the latter....

sweet ride u got there btw.

Especially when the new CTSV is almost the same price and I want one of those so bad I cant see straight, lol.

You think a $60k+ Duramax Denali is something you should've seen the row of $78k+ Escalades lined up at the Caddy dealership. I though the same thing who would buy one. Especially when most houses in the city of Youngstown dont even cost that much:eek:

I realized $60k was probably a bit high + was just going to change it to $50k but you had already responded.
That is a beauty,I like the fact they make all that torque (420)at 2500 rpm,the 6.2l gas hog only makes slightly more torque (434) but it's at 4500 rpm.
I have the brochure, thats how i know the stats,i had went looking for one a while back, but at the time there was no long bed, regular cab(needed for my business) eco-boost trucks available,+ they wanted full sticker for what was out there because they had just came out at the time, I may start looking again,my silverado just hit 85k today.

Funny you should say that! Your driving a 24 year old turbo car, that I think has been out of warranty for a little while. ;)

Lol. I don't drive it. The buick sits in garage. Besides its a pushrod v6 with 1 turbo, I've got AAA, and Otto is only 45min away.;)

I dont live close to OTTO, but I do have AAA Premium. Gotto have it if one is driving a Turbo Regal!!

I think we have the same engine in our new 3.5L Fusion sport.

Over a year and 22K miles and not one problem to go to the dealer about..

The last chevy I had problems started at 4K miles and never stopped...

I believe they are the same basic engine, minus turbos and cal.

Not at all surprising. Sounds like my Honda.

I test drove a Taurus SHO last week and it was quick. That motor is impressive and it won't be long before the aftermarket starts to modify them.
Something to consider is that new cars and trucks are putting out so much more power now major mods are not necessary to get to some very good hp and torque numbers.

It won't be long before the ecoboost motor is making 500 hp and 500 lbs ft of torque. That will be pretty cool in a car or F 150.

Not sure if they ever will. Not sure if they need it. I got a ticket in the first few months we got it...

But you know what was going on in my head when I figured it had the same 3.5L.. "They must bolt on there some how"....
