2nd Car Show trophy

2 years ago, a club called Kiwanis held a car show to benefit needy kids. I gladly entered the GN. Walked away with People's Choice 1st place. They skipped a year because the city wouldn't let them use the park again. This year they put on another show. I spent 3.5 hours Friday night after work getting the car ready. Glazed, waxed, engine bay washed, tires, wheels, interior, you name it. My road is dirt so I was worried what the car would look like when I got there. Not a spot of dust anywhere on the car. By the end of the day, got another trophy for Sponser's Choice from our local news paper. 2 shows entered, 2 trophies. Pretty proud of this car.

Congrats, I've never entered a show but I want to enter a nice one once this one is wrapped up.

I don't quite know what to expect though.

From one GN show winner to another I will say what i have been told already this year; "That's one CLEAN monte carlo!"

Thanks guys.... Another GN owner here took his also. He walked away with a sponser trophy also. We were pretty proud. We sat by the cars most of the time and every single person who walked by never said anything like the "Monte" comments. We were totally surprised. Anyone who got near said something along the lines of "WOW, GRAND NATIONALS" or "Turbo Cars". Didn't have to correct anyone on their "knowledge" of the cars. It was a great day indeed. 1st year my car number was 87. This year is was 19. Put them together and I have the year of the car. Only 2 shows I entered with this car and got a trophy for each show when I would enter my 84T (DrPepper Car) and only got a pic taken. That was a pretty car too.

congrats on the trophy, i did the same here, enter'd a car show cause a friend took me too one and i got a 3rd place trophy how about shareing some pics of you gn with us :biggrin:
