I am having a problem getting my hands on the 3 bolt copper mounting gasket for my turbo. It seems to be on backorder :( After almost a year on a complete rebuild I cant wait anymore. Anybody have any suggestions on what I can do? It will be just temporary until it shows up. I know stock they did not come with one, people have said just make one out of gasket material and put a high temp RTV on both sides to protect from the heat, but is this enough?? Thats alot of heat! Any ideas let me know, want to be squeeling my tires by the end of the weekend :D

The thee bolt triangular copper turbo gasket... I got one at autozone

nice @ arizonagn.com has them in stock. Well i just bought 3 from him this week ;)

also RJC makes a 3 bolts gasket out of a weird material that works awsome as well.

You can get a great hi temp graphite fiber mat'l one with a stainless inner core from Special Additions.
I've been running these for years without issues.

Here's what their webiste says about it:

Do you have an exhaust leak between the turbo housing and header?
This Turbo to header gasket is like the Turbo Riviera gasket that everyone used until GM discontinued it.
Made from .065 thick graphite impregnated high temp material with stainless steel core.
The Turbo Riviera gasket hung in the exhaust flow and had to be trimmed carefully.
This gasket is the same size as the header so no trimming is necessary.
This gasket will take a lot of abuse.
Run a file over the header flange to see how badly the flange is warped.
The header turbo flange WILL be warped if you have used a copper gasket in the past
