30 wgt. or 20w-50???

Any benefit to using single viscosity?Here in SC it gets a little cold in the mornings and at night around 20-35 degrees probaly the coldest it gets.

Mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 will get the job done man...don't even bother with that 20w50 molases oil way too thick in the cold and unless you live in a 100+ degree heated desert, stick with the 30 weight oil...synthetic provides ultimate protection in high heat situations anyways...great for turbo cars

As Don said, both of those oils would be poor choices for winter. 10W30 would be a better option.
