There are a couple people here who have/had this combo and it didn't work. Couldn't get the idle FP down.

Is there anyone here who has the combo that works fine? Just curious

Don't know but I'm putting mine in tomorrow would be nice to know for sure I have read it both ways the lowest I've heard was 45 lbs at idle which be fine for me with the chip I'm running maybe some will chime in

That's where I run mine, runs fine.

That's the recommended pressure for my chip.

I had an Aeromotive 340 pump with stock lines with no issues as well. My idle fuel pressure did not change.

I just bought a reds Armstrong xp which I think is a walbro 340... Hope I won't have any issues! I plan to run e-85 though.

Have one in my GN with stock lines. No issues so far on 93 octane pump gas.

I put in the AEM 320 litre one and the idle fp is abit high and swapped out the fuel regulator and it stays the same. Pump works good though.

How did your install go? Started mine up for the first time today and the fp is high

Finely got the pump put in today when to install last week and noticed a wet spot on my gas tank had a hair line crack on it so I had to wait for a new tank the install went really well about as simple thing that you can do to the car it assure consistent fuel to the injectors fuel pressure was 40 before with the other pump with the new 340 it's was 48 with no changes or adjustments haven't tried to adjust it yet just put a new transmission and convertor in today also and was verifying line pressure to make sure every thing was up to par before I take it off the lift and then the ice storm hit so I'll try to adjust tomorrow and see if the fuel pressure will come down a little it was idling fine don't know what the ill effects would be if it was a little high car didn't smell rich if I can't adjusted down ill probably just take a little fuel out of the gen-2 getting 5-8 inches of snow tomorrow

I've been using a DW 320 l/hr for several years now. No fuel pressure issues with it with stock lines.

Yeah, I'm not sure why. No other changes were made. New racetronix harness also. Backed the regulator screw out all the way and no changes. Stayed around 48-50 psi at idle with or without the line on. I'll mess with it again after it gets out of the body shop come springtime. I really don't want to have to run a new line.

My chip recommends 45 so I'm at 48 I can't see were 3-5 lbs of pressure is going to makes big difference as long as it not so rich at Idle that's it's fouling plugs tip in stumble or idling above 800-900 rpm as long as I'm getting 1 lb or fuel pressure rise with 1 lb of boost. I'm thinking if I have any hiccups I'll try and adjust it out of the low fuel circuit or bump timing in 1st gear don't think I'll have to run a new return line for a couple of pounds, but if I do I'll redo them all while I'm doing it

We'll I don't plan on running the 44 for ever when I do upgrade the turbo or if I decide to cocktail a little e-85 with my 93 octane, crank the timing and boost the pump will be in place and plus it was on sale couldn't pass up the sale LOL ! Overkill maybe but I really don't see the downside unless I'm missing something

They have always been around 128-132 why would they change with a pump change?
Mm

With higher fuel pressure, your idle BLs will go lower. That's how you see if you need a new return line or not. If BLs are at 118 or above at idle but still lower than 138, you'll be fine with your higher idle pressure. If they are way lower than 118, then you'll need a new line to get the pressure down to get the BLs back up closer to 128. That's why I asked where they are now after the pump change and yes, a pump replacement, especially when raising pressure, will affect the BLs across the board and not just at idle.

And you will need the pump if you are planning on E85 I guess, but otherwise you won't need it even if you maxed out your TE44. I also replace my fuel pump every 4 or 5 years even if it tests well, so unless you upgrade the turbo in that time frame, you'll need a new pump with your new turbo anyway. I see your point on overkill though as fuel delivery is important, but too much can cause problems.

Agreed I've had it running a total of about 5 minutes old tank had a leek so I upgraded pump hanger pump and tank all at once haven't hooked a scanner to it or anything just installed a new trans and convertor the same day then it dumped 8" of snow before I had a chance to drive I had a 1 year old walbro pump one of the 169 replacements I just wasn't comfortable with it as long as it's not washing the cylinder walls down with gas I'm not real concerned when the streets clear I'll take it out and see what kind of attitude it has and go from there

I just did a Racetronix 340 and my fuel pressure will not go below 45 either. The Saginaw fittings on my car are already drilled out so I'm upgrading to a -6 return.
