350 vs 400

I'm thinking of getting away from the overdrive trans. I have either available too me as builders. I've always had 400's in past GM cars but see several guys are running 350's now.. Why? I assume its a weight factor.

Weight and they can be built to handle 1000 plus HP! Did You have a Good Thanksgiving Dennis?

Hey Tony.. Yes we did!! I talked to the tranny guy today, he said I could go either way. He thinks the 400 would last longer. I guess I need to decide if the weight will make that much difference for me. Maybe some exersize and a little less chocolate is an option too

to go was around $2200.00 two years ago.
