I SEE THAT YOU GUYS ARE USING THE TYPE II COILS AND MODULES WHAT S WRONG WITH THE LATER ONES I WORK IN A WRECKING YARD AND I SAW ONE TODAY IT HAS ALL OF THE PINS IN IT NOT LIKE THE TYPE II THAT IS MISSING ONE IT WAS OFF OF A 97 GRAND PRIX 3800 WHATS THE DIFFERENCE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT WOULD WORK AND WILL IT BREAK UP ABOVE 5000 RPM

This is from a person who was in on designing the type II coil. If the electrical plug from your 86-87 wiring harness will fit the module--it will work. I have an old plug I carry when I go to the bone yard. I have used this type II for years and it works fine for me--6000 rpm
