400 trans speedometer gear

i have a rebuild 400 trans w/brake going to install this weekend but found there is no hole in case for gear .what is the best repair,other case or some kind of hall switch on driveshaft etc.thanks for any help

Chabge case,early bop cases had no speedo bore.

need info on o-meter gear for 3.50 gear(9") with275/60/15

case and gears all sent today ups.Lost a 110 leg all day at the shop so couldnt run trans washer but its clean.Also sent you a bearing to put in the case for output shaft.

I'm not seeing a Speed O Meter hole either....

Anyone with a suggestion for other than getting a correct case :frown:
