I purchased a set of 42# inj with the chip TT. I dont plan on racing the car its a first / second place winner for 2 years in a row in ever show I go to. How good are the 42# injectors vs the 60's for what im doing. I have not installed them yet is it a mistake going with them vs 60's.

I had 42s before the 60s came out or I would have had them to start with. Do yourself a favor and go with the 60s. Sooner or later you will upgrade turbo etc.. and you will have plenty of injector to spare.

Haveing a little buyers remorse are you? You bought them so use them and don't worry about it.They'll work fine for you.

the 009 (42.5#) injectors will work very well for you. seeing that you already have them ........ put 'em in. they're a nice upgrade from stock injectors, the idle & driveability is good and chips for them are plentiful (and generally cheap).

42.5's have a reputation of having an off idle stumble and running a little rich at idle. Mine did, but a Turbo Tweak chip made a world of difference with driveability. No more off idle stumble. I haven't checked mileage but it's running cleaner so I bet that's improved too. Enough fuel for 11's so unless you're planning to go faster then they'll be plenty.

Remember, like Happy's golf instructor said, "It's all in the chips, it's all in the chips." or something like that. :D

Hi,
I agree, stumble is noticible, but no other problems to speak of. When you think about it,a 42.5 injector improves fuel flow by about 40% over stock. Maybe 50s or 60s are better, but come on!

60's...

Will be more in demand when you deside to sell for upgrades.
