Oh My. If anybody is at home now watching the TV show 48 hours then it's about one of my high school friends Daniel Moore who was framed for a murder. I can't believe it's on national TV.

You can watch the show and see what's up but it was basically a case involving some high ranking city officials participating in a swinger type wife swapping event together. The doctor's wife was murdered and my friend who was known to have a drug addiction problem was framed for the murder. We all think the husband/doctor was the guilty one but the local police and investigators never tried to get him.

Having served on a couple of jurys, I saw how pretty easy it is to go to prison for 20+ years if

1) you do drugs (jury's look poorly on this, even if it has nothing to do with the crime)

2) you do stupid things (even if it has nothing to do with the crime)

3) you have a bad Lawyer (every lawyer in every trial I've ever sat on was pathetic)

4) the crime involves "excessive violence" (even if the evidence shows You DIDN'T DO IT, the jury has to take their emotion out on someone, and that some one would be you)

I was not impressed with the intelligence of the jurys I have sat on, either. They took the prosecutors opening statements, in fact all of statements as "evidence", when NONE of it is evidence.

I feel sorry for all involved in this one.

I think it was CBS. It was the show called 48 Hours Mystery.

We went to high school together and done lots of street racing in those days. He learned how to do dougnuts in my 87 T-Type  His step dad was an engine builder for the local speed shop and did the motor in Daniels S-10. They took the stock 4.3, ported the heads, added a good bowtie intake and put a 600 Holley on it with a T-350 tranny. It was actually pretty quick for a N/A V6

After high school he got involved with drug use which led to a crack addiction. He began stealing all kinds of things to feed his addiction. After the lady was murdered Daniel robbed a local store, a police chase followed with him being caught. While searching his truck they found some equipment from his job at a security system installer, the same company who handled the victim's security system. The police made up their mind that Daniel was the guilty one and doctored evidence to build the case. After years in jail evidence finally showed just how crooked the investigation was and he was freed. He is currently still in jail however after the prosecution appealed his release. He will be there until the criminal appeal system finishes their investigation.

What spurred all the contoversy was the fact several high ranking officials in city hall as well as other wealthy families were busted at a local hotel. They were involved in a swinging social event. This murder case exposed some of the names in the partner swapping and it's obvious that the cover up by the local investigators was to protect those high ranking officials and their friends, basically Mr. Tipton.

Another interesting note is Mr. Tipton is a psychiatrist. He is a pro at mind games.....
