does anyone know about these? I know the ECM can handle 50#ers, but needs to be modified for 55+# ones. I'm about to buy a pair...but that depends on if it will work with the stock ECM.

Does anyone have any info I could use?

What brand are they? I am pretty sure that they are high impedence and that you won't need an ECM mod though it is best to measure the ohms of resistance across the terminals.

I'm not sure about the impedence. The guys I'm buying them from says they worked for him...I just don't want to get screwed over.

There are only two 52# injectors (that I know of), Lucas and Bosch. Both are low ohm and the ecm should be modified.

You will find the info here:

They will work without the mod, but you risk killing the injector drivers with prolonged use. I ran my Lucas 52#ers for 3 years on a stock ecm without trouble (I don't recommend it).

That's a good rule of thumb...but not the answer. The answer is: If The Injectors Are Low-Impedance, then the ECM injector drivers should be modified. They do not have to be modified, but you run the risk of overheating the injector drivers. This leads to no pulsewidth at the injector with the burned-up driver. Wanna guess how good the car runs at that point?;)
