I have two pressure sensors that I want to feed the output to the analog block on powerlogger. These are 5v sensors. I used an old Turbolink boost sensing harness to tap into the 5v supply for the tps.

Can I use this 5v source to supply 5v to both pressure sensors? Can the sensors share a ground?

Thanks

I could be wrong but I don't think it's got enough power to run two devices.

Sensors usually take very little power to run so it will probably work.

I believe they need to share the 5V ground at the TPS sensor.

You could also buy a 5V / 1Amp. regulator for a buck or two at radio shack and make your own 5V source from any 12Volt ignition power source.

A couple of cheap filter and decoupling caps. are all you need.

LM7805 is the generic number for the regulator.

I run 2 of Julio's pressure sensors off MAP. TPS should be OK too.

the TPS supply and ground are ok to feed those sensors. Then just run the sensor signals to the PL analog board.

any one know what colors the 5 v power and ground have on the tps? got to this myself and im not sure.. ??

I would tap into the 5volt wire at the C437 plug, and do it correct, pull the pin, cut the wire off, and crimp the original wire and a new 5 volt wire for your plugs.

IMO way too many people hack into their wiring harnesses and then wonder why there car is running poorly or not starting down the road.

so where is this harness located? and must we use the same power and ground from the tps plug? ill be soldering everything

itislocated on the passenger side kick panel behid the plastic that encloses the ECU. just google c437 buick plug and you will get a proper diagram from gnttpye.org. I don't know where my file is so i cannot upload it.

Adrian I believe it was a greenwire.
