60 yr old man smack 2 yr old girl in the face

A 60 yr old man smacked a little girl in the face 4 times in Wal-mart for crying. He told the mother " If you don't shut that kid up, I'll do it for you"
This was on the news today and last night. He got arrested. BUT, why didn't the mother defend her baby girl? I don't have kids and usually let BS with people roll off my shoulder as to avoid the police station, but if it were me and my little one, they would of had to have rolled the guy out of the store with no face left. just saying. If it were you what would you have done? Feel free to be creative.

the little brat probably deserved it. many parents today are ridiculous the way they bring up children. when I was a youngster it was nothing for my parents to slap the shi! out of me for acting up in public. did it hurt me, yea back then, but I truly believe it made me into the man I am today. I am willing to bet many parents that are crying they wouldn't do that to my child are the ones that have or will have problem children.

It seems to me that parents encourage kids to misbehave in public, at least in my area. I have often thought of slapping some unrully children, but really the parents need to be slapped instead. Indeed in the day, if I misbehaved in public, my parents, and that's plural, would "slap" me silly. Sad stuff. A lot more could be said, but I'll quit while I'm ahead.

I don't care how bad the kid was crying, you don't just go up to a stranger's 2 year old kid and slap them in the face 4 or 5 times. If he was so disturbed by her crying he should have left the store. I hope the family sues his ass off and gets a nice college fund for the kid. NO ONE would get way with that with my kids or grandkids. Come on this was a 2 year old girl, not some sassy teen.

Here is what the old KOOT should have done.

A) ask the mom if something was wrong with the kid & maybe she would get the hint.

B) Ask the mom permission to buy the kid a balloon or lolly pop to distract the kid from crying

C) Go to another line

Unfortunatly todays parenting skills are horrible by the younger gen.
The mom was prolly on twitter or meds.

With my 8 year old (Last Kid) I see a big difference in his class mates or scouts friends. Some of these kids are really coddled & whiney generation.

A big diff from my 19 year old son classmates.

I will say that I doubt there would be a need to do that to any of my children, but as I stated, try it and somebody ain't walking away. I'll handle the discipline, I don't need any help from others. I once had to tell an old lady in a store who thought I was being to hard on my child that if she didn't pipe down and mind her own business, she was next.

Believe it or not two year-olds sometimes throw tantrums. Sure you can beat the hell out of them and yell until a vein pops out of your head, but the best way I've found is to ignore it. They eventually figure out it doesn't work and you move on.

I would use that kid as a foot ball and try to make a goal in between 2 registers, parents need to have more power and be able to punish thier kids without having to worry about the law coming after them, later on after the kids grow up to be criminals and the law comes down hard on them, the 1st to be blame is the parents for not raising them the right way, but how can you when the Fu***ing GOV has to stick thier nose in everything even how you raise your kids, I remember getting smacked left and right by my parents many times and trust me i deserved it a lot, and everytime i learn that i will not do whatever i did to deserve another beating, parents need more power these days end of story..
