I took the plunge and went 6062
Think I have 7 passes, very happy, in Phoenix firebird park.
Think I pushed the intake gasket and made a milkshake on the last pass.
came back to the pits with good temp and oil pressure running and idling just fine, but I raised the hood to look things over and it was not pretty.
But here are the 3 out of 4 tickets (lost the first) low 11 with tire spin. the rest in the 10s

Nice I have this in my Talon and it's killer.

What rpm launch and psi?
What total psi?

This is a possible low 10 turbo with tweak to your 60ft, wow.

10 lb leave 3600-3700 through the traps at29 lb trying to find a external waste gate to control the boost better Patiently waiting for TA
Thanks MPH is up 2mph locking converter and yes new converter
Friday night at Firebirds
Got it apart and found I lost a head gasket Definitely was not KNOCK no bearing damage AFR was 10.5 and spot on all the way. it was a set of FelPro
8 years old and 75+ pass with 10K. STREET miles.. I can't figure what I did to it.
I have a set of RJC gaskets coming and a new set of Champion aluminum heads I got in a trade 6 years ago Ill put back on.
Im on the fence what Intake gaskets to run RJC said stay with the FelPro Vally but my gut says 1200
Im on the lookout for some good E85 help locally. I feel Im doing it right just want some conformation and redirection if I need it.

Spark advance is the devil.
14-15 degrees is probably the most I would run at 29-30psi, with a cold plug too.

36psi and 21 degrees is not leaving yourself alot of room there.
Its got some squeeze to it lol
Pulling plugs looking at backpressure will tell you sooner than the headgaskets will😉
I would lower the timing down and try to get the airflow up with more boost
You would run more timing if the turbo is out of breath.
Alot is not need at wot or above a certain airflow/rpm range.
You'll go faster at 40psi and 16 degrees of timing than at 36psi and 21 as long as you pull it out in the right area up top

Thank you is this with E85? best info yet Im 21* from 16 lb up 36 lb boost
Yes E85
Less advance at low rpm and more higher rpm. 14deg at 4500rpm and 15deg at 6000rpm for example

Thank you gentlemen
yes back pressure is high can't get good control of the boost I have just about gave up on my preferred vender for down pipe with external gate
e85 plug is one strong looking plug

What exhaust housing are you using with the 6062 ? .63 .70 or .85 ?

10psi and 3600rpm, thanks

29-30psi and 21 degrees, that's pushing it like stated, forget what the old chips would use as timing if you had those and recall etc. My Talon is 30psi and 16 degrees and those cars can eat boost like crazy vs ours so be careful.

Also, you we always assume the timing is dead on exactly the number we've programmed in. Take it from somebody where on 2 different platforms this wasn't even close I wouldn't trust these timing numbers to be 100% unless it was dialed in by a pro and proven to me. Error on conservative side.

Listen to BeataV8 and Spool, they know more about use cars and power tuning than those old chip makers (Eric Marshall not included).
