If the 45a is a Q-trim as well then I bet the 45a will kick butt on the 67 in the higher 20's and up boost wise...Lower boost 67 will have the upper hand.

If the 45a is a P-trim then probably not.

Pure speculation on my part I doubt anyone has done any actual testing on this subject, but you are in the unique position to do the testing so if you learn anything concrete please share, Inquiring minds want to know.

Almost forgot...What exhaust housing are on these turbos??

Lots to comment about here, but don't want to ruffle any feathers...

Thanks Collin, my TE45a is a P Trim.....

The 65 trim ex wheel is a lot more efficient than the 76 P trim. The 66, 67 billet or cast compressor is not being worked hard at all on a 700hp engine. Not even a little hard. The cast 66 wheel will move enough air to run well into the 9's. Id be looking at the ex wheel if i wanted to get more out of it. You will be working the block very hard with any of them including the 45a if you turn it up.

Fwiw i had a 66 cast compressor on my engine at 29psi yesterday and it had charge air temps around 70* in the middle of 3rd gear. Ambient temp was 72.5*. 800+hp is no problem for any of the compressor wheels mentioned imo. Anyone who doesnt believe it feel free to PM me and ill send you the logs. Do not PM me about it unless you are calling BS.

Are you going to update your dyno thread? Was this with the nozzle upgrade? I'm not calling B.S. I would like for you to keep us posted on the progress though because you're really making the 60's series turbos shine.

Getchasum, not looking to derail your thread.

But if running low 10's is ok, then run the Cast 67/65, like Bison mentioned, the updated exhaust wheel makes more power than the 76.

This was on the pavement. I already had two 15gph nozzles in there. I forgot i must have switched early last year. Charge air temps at 5500rpm in 3rd were 2* below ambient.

The TE45a pulls like a freight train up top. On my new motor which is still being built- 109 DLS stroker, GN1, 210-210 roller, V4, 3000 stall 9/11, I'll soon find out if a P trim 45a .63 can do 135+ mph in the 1/4.
